DANCE & RECOVERY FROM ADDICTION
Το ΚΕΘΕΑ ΝΟΣΤΟΣ ιδρύθηκε το 1993 και σήμερα αποτελεί ένα ολοκληρωμένο δίκτυο υπηρεσιών που καλύπτει τον Δήμο Πειραιά, τους όμορους δήμους, τα νότια προάστια, περιοχές της Δυτικής Αττικής, καθώς και τα νησιά του βορειοανατολικού Αιγαίου. Προσφέρει συμβουλευτική, θεραπεία και κοινωνική επανένταξη σε ενήλικες χρήστες ουσιών, εργαζόμενους και φοιτητές που κάνουν είτε πειραματική/περιστασιακή είτε συστηματική χρήση ουσιών. Επίσης, υποστηρίζει οικογένειες που αντιμετωπίζουν προβλήματα εξάρτησης.
Από το 2021 παραδίδουμε μαθήματα σύγχρονου χορού στα μέλη και συνεργαζόμαστε με το εκπαιδευτικό τμήμα για μια πιο ολοκληρωμένη ένταξη του χορού στο πρόγραμμα του κέντρου που μπορεί να ωφελήσει τα μέλη μακροπρόθεσμα, κατά τη διάρκεια και μετά την θεραπεία.

Goal oriented creative projects
' COMMON GROUND: PANIGIRI ' - training program & performance
A 6 month comprehensive educational program in dance & creative practice at KETHEA Nostos from July to December 2024. The program was open to people in different stages of recovery and past members that have reintegrated fully into society. Participants were provided weekly lessons in contemporary dance, improvisation, theatre, traditional greek folk dance, and experienced the creative process of a dance performance from conception to performance in a professional theatrical setting.
Drawing inspiration from the word ‘tradition’: the action of handing over and transmitting information, surrendering to a supportive net passed down from generation to generation, from one person to another. "I transmit information, customs, culture, history, I give, I teach, I surrender to the safety of the group, to community, to the other, to the act of caring, to time, to the moment: I trust."

The implementation and presentation of the project were part of a grant from the Ministry of Culture to therapeutic programs of KETHEA.
' TRANSITIONS ' - training program & site specific dance film
A 3 month training program in contemporary dance & creative practice at KETHEA Nostos (fall 2022). The program was for live in members of the facility undergoing rehabilitation from substance addiction. Participants were provided weekly lessons in contemporary dance, and worked collectively towards a creative goal. The program culminated in a filming day at the areas of Lipasmata (Drapetsona) and the port of Piraeus. A short dance film was produced with the students having experienced all stages of a site specific creation from concept, rehearsal to production.
